A multi-denominational Christian College which caters for children from Prep to Year 12.
Established by Melton Christian Fellowship in rented facilities in 1985, we moved to our current site in 1986 and have been steadily developing since then.
Melton Christian College offers children an excellent education at an affordable price. The College has a committed Christian staff who care for children individually. The school has high standards in discipline and encourages courtesy and respect in the students. Starting at Prep we have a most effective “learn to read” program that ensures children are well equipped for reading in their first year. Great importance is attached to teaching the key areas of literacy and numeracy.
A small farm is a focus for learning at Grade 4 and our Technology Centre (Food/Wood/Metal) is used by students from Grade 5. A well balanced range of subjects are taught in Secondary with some electives being available in Years 9 & 10. A wide range of VET (Vocational Education and Training) subjects are available through the Western Edge VET Cluster (a cluster of the secondary schools, both Government and non government, in Melton). The subjects offered at VCE level reflect our student’s interests and cover the prerequisites for Tertiary admission in most courses. Some subjects have been offered through the Distance Education Centre of Victoria to provide as wide a choice as possible.
Our curriculum provides a thorough education in a caring environment where values are uncompromisingly biblically based.
