One Year of Our Toolern Vale Campus

Newsletter | Toolern Vale Update

This week, we celebrated an important milestone for our Toolern Vale campus—the start of week three marked 12 months since our students first stepped onto this beautiful site. We commemorated the occasion with our students in true first birthday style, complete with food, dancing, and party hats. It was exciting and fun, and well worth acknowledging and celebrating.

Over the past year, we’ve experienced many ‘firsts’ that have been incredibly special, in part because they marked our initial milestones. We had our first parent-teacher conversations, Book Week, Father’s Day, Footy Colours Day, Prep information evening and observation sessions onsite, school photos, and Mother’s Day. We celebrated the building and opening of our new classrooms, playground area, and lovely waiting/welcome zone. What an incredible and full year we have had together.

Our TV community is small and at the same time it is rich and diverse, united by a common purpose: to walk alongside each other as we equip and support our children to engage in learning and in developing a deeper understanding of who they are and how they fit into our world. Our role is to engage our students in their learning and challenge them to be the best they can be as they each discover their unique and beautiful gifts and talents. Just like the song declares – “We’re all in this together!” It takes a team to build something as wonderful as this school that we are a part of – just as iron sharpens iron, we all work together to help each other improve. Our recent parent teacher conversations are a lovely example of how important it is for us to be closely connected as we live out our core value of community.

Looking ahead to the rest of 2024 and beyond, it is exciting to know that we are continuing on this journey together. We will celebrate many more milestones as a school community, growing together through the challenges and highlights. There will be moments of joy and moments of sadness. Some moments will feel hard and difficult to navigate, while others will fill our hearts with joy. Regardless of the circumstances, you can always be assured that we are aligned with you, our family community, to nurture and equip your children to safely explore and grow into their unique and beautiful selves.
