Enrolment

Life-long Learning

Thank you for your interest in enrolling your children at Melton Christian College. Selecting a school for your child will help shape their future and we recognise the importance of this decision.

We are always excited to discuss enrolment at Melton Christian College because we believe that our Christ-centred approach to learning helps children understand their place in God’s story. This will give them confidence to grow and develop as life-long learners.

Melton Christian College’s main intake year levels are Prep and Year 7. Inquiries for these year levels are welcome up to two years in advance of commencement. Enrolment inquiries for other year levels may be considered for our waiting list.

In order to apply for enrolment, it is important that all steps are followed in our enrolment process, as outlined below.

Enrolment Process

In order to best serve families, we have developed an Enrolment Process that begins with an Expression of Interest. The Expression of Interest form will be given to the Enrolments team, who will communicate with you along the way.

Step 1: Expression of Interest

Complete the Expression of Interest Form. All enquiries are carefully considered by the Principal and the Enrolments team.

Step 2:   Application

Selected submissions are then invited to make a formal Application for Enrolment.

Those applying for enrolment must read the College Handbook, Enrolment Policy, Enrolment Terms and Conditions and the Parent Code of Conduct. They should then enquire directly with administration staff regarding any matter on which they are uncertain.

The formal Application for Enrolment, other relevant forms, children’s current reports, and the non-refundable application fee of $100 per family are then submitted to the College office.

Receipt of Application for Enrolment will be acknowledged in writing by the College Registrar.

Step 3:  Interview

Once we have received all of your documentation, an enrolment interview with the Principal or Head of School is then scheduled with parents and prospective students. The outcome of the enrolment interview will determine whether a place in the College will be offered. Availability of places is a determining factor, therefore some applicants may be allocated to a waiting list.

Step 4:   Administrative

Following the interview, we will make sure we have received all of your paperwork and your application is submitted to our Principal for approval.

Step 5:   Approval

Notification regarding the outcome of the enrolment interview will be provided in writing; where places are available, successful applicants will receive a Letter of Acceptance.

Step 6:  Confirmation

The Acceptance Form is then completed, signed and returned to the College office with a $500 deposit, within 14 days. It should be understood that this is a contractual agreement.

Step 7: Commencement

Your child’s start date will be sent to you via email. All newly enrolled students are accepted on a one term probationary basis.

Registrar

One of the most satisfying things about my role as Registrar is showing our wonderful school to prospective families, then seeing their child settle in happily with their new friends and our vibrant community.
