Learning in Year Seven
Our deep hope for our Year Seven students arises from our philosophy that every person is created in God’s image. Because of this, everyone needs to be valued, not only for their ability to contribute, but for their God-imaged humanness.
We also deeply hope that our Year Seven students will choose to be valuable, proactive contributors as God intends them to be. We seek to nurture students’ discovery of their unique, God-given gifts so that they can meaningfully encounter and participate in God’s good intention for a life of worthwhile service.
Moreover, we hope that our first year of Secondary schooling gives our students a great disposition for future learning; recognising and consolidating prior learning, while preparing the ground for future success.
Year 7 Student
Since I was new to the school and Year 7, I was excited as well as nervous because I wasn’t sure what it would be like. Luckily the teachers were very supportive, and the homework was not too hard if I set my mind to it.
