Year 9

Learning in Year Nine

Our deep hope for all our students is their discovery of their God-given calling. For our Year Nine students we particularly want to contribute to that. So, we seek to expose them to a wide range of subjects, including their own elective choices where they can discover their gifts and further develop areas of passion.

God has given gifts to all. Stimulating, expanding and sharing these gifts for one another’s good is our task. Therefore we work to make our teaching broad enough so Year Nine students can explore their own giftings and develop their individual skills.

Subject selection

Students will place eight Year 9 and 10 Elective Subjects in preference order.

Whilst every effort will be made to allocate students their top preferences, due to the complexity of the timetable this might not be possible. Where students cannot be allocated their top preferences, their subsequent preferences will be taken into consideration.
