Welcome Back to Term Four

Newsletter | Secondary Update

As we step into Term Four, I want to extend a warm welcome to all our students, families, and staff at Melton Christian College. It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the final stretch of the year! Term Four is always a dynamic and exciting time for our College community. Not only are we focused on finishing strong in our current grades, but we also start looking forward to 2025, full of new possibilities, opportunities, and growth.

For many students, Term Four is a time to reflect on the progress they’ve made throughout the year, from personal milestones to academic achievements. It’s also the perfect time to set new goals for the future, as they look toward the challenges and opportunities of the year ahead. Whether moving into a new year level or taking on new responsibilities, there’s much to look forward to as we prepare for what 2025 has in store.

This term is particularly significant for our Year 12 students. As they approach the completion of their schooling, they face an exciting yet busy time, preparing for their final exams and considering their next steps in life—whether that’s further study, work, or new adventures. As a community, we stand with them in prayer and support, encouraging them to stay focused and confident during this important season. It’s a demanding time, but we know they are capable and ready for what lies ahead.

In the spirit of community, I invite everyone to continue praying for our Year 12 students as they approach their exams. Your support, whether through prayer, words of encouragement, or simply being there for them, plays an essential role in their journey. Let’s uplift them together as they take this next big step.

Term Four is also filled with exciting events for our Secondary students, marking important milestones for the entire school. One of the highlights will be the Secondary Awards and Celebration Night, where we come together to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work, achievements, and contributions of our students across the year. It’s a special time for us to reflect on the growth we’ve witnessed and the sense of community we’ve fostered throughout 2024.

For our Year 10 and 11 students, VCE Quick Start Week is another important event that will help set the tone for their senior studies. This program gives them a valuable head start on their subjects for 2025, helping them feel confident and prepared as they step into the demands of VCE. We look forward to seeing how they take this opportunity and use it to hit the ground running in the new year.

And let’s not forget the Year 7-9 Orientation Day, which is an exciting event for both current and new students. It’s a wonderful opportunity for students to familiarise themselves with what the next year holds, meet their teachers, and build connections within their year level. This day is always full of energy and anticipation as students take those first steps towards their future year at MCC.

Finally, as we embark on this final term, I pray that each of you will have a productive and enjoyable time. Let’s make the most of the opportunities that come our way, embrace the challenges, and continue to support one another as a community. I’m excited to see how this term unfolds and to celebrate the successes and growth we will achieve together.

May this term be one of joy, accomplishment, and community.
