Worthy of Praise
This week in our homeroom morning devotions, our students have been learning about the importance of constantly seeking God and praising Him. Since our last newsletter, we have experienced several events that truly give us cause to celebrate and praise God.
We recently held two camps for our Year 4 and Year 5 students. We are grateful to God for the joyful experiences shared by the children and for their safe return. These camps provide invaluable opportunities for our students to develop independence, resilience, and to strengthen their relationships with their peers and staff.
Our Green and Gold Day was another highlight, involving students from Prep through to Year 6. We are thankful for the beautiful weather and the fun-filled celebration of Australia and the Olympic Games. Special thanks go to Mrs Palmieri and Mr Shattock for organising the mini-Olympics, and to our outstanding Year 6 students who led each activity with confidence, care, and encouragement. We are extremely proud of their leadership.
Last week, our Preps celebrated their 100th day of school. It was heartwarming to see the children’s smiles as they came dressed to represent the number 100 in creative ways. We are grateful to God for entrusting these young learners to our care and for the dedication of our wonderful Prep staff team. The children have learned so much in this time since they started on day one. It is good to celebrate the progress they have made.
God is truly good and ever-present within our College. Our children benefit from a Christian education where every lesson, even a Maths lesson, is an opportunity to learn more about God’s intentions for us. He is worthy of our praise and thankfulness for what we are seeing happen in our College.
Let us all join in praising God and giving thanks for being part of the loving, Christian community at Melton Christian College.
