Creativity

The Melton Christian College programs lead students and staff to respond to the Lord’s gift of creativity by encouraging creativity in one another. For example, our performing arts program includes producing school musicals annually.

These productions are a wonderful opportunity for learning. The children and older students look forward to the commencement of rehearsals each year, and the final productions are the culmination of learning. At these shows, parents, friends and relatives take part in the experience by being our fanatically supportive audience.

The musicals that Melton Christian College has produced over past years are: Pirates of Penzance, The Mikado, Joseph and his Technicolour Dreamcoat, Godspell, Fiddler on the Roof, Annie, Hairspray, and The Jungle Book.

Often the pre-show foyer becomes a stunning visual arts gallery where student work from Media Studies, Art, and Design Technology is displayed.

Visual arts are also a way that we reflect the Lord’s creativity in our own artistic expression, and the quality of student work, and the emotional depth of expression displayed are often very compelling.
