Beginning at Prep, students are equipped with the fundamental skills necessary for fluent, comprehensive reading. Using a whole-language approach alongside a strategic reading programme (LEM Phonics), we aim for children to leave their first year of school with the foundational language skills required in their literate world.
Thorough foundations of mathematical concepts are taught from Prep onwards. Subjects branch out into many areas of understanding, developing a deeper level of thinking as students progress through each grade. Subject areas such as Performing and Visual Arts, Information Technology, Physical Education, Japanese, Integrated Studies, Library and Biblical Studies are covered at each year level, encouraging students to express themselves creatively, enhancing gifts and areas of interest.

Our small farm is a feature in Grade 4 and Woodwork is taken up in Grade 5.

Attention is given to those students who would benefit from extension work as well as those needing remedial assistance.

In Year 7 to 10 a broad-based general education is undertaken, providing a solid foundation for whatever studies a student may select in the years that follow.
As well as the core subjects taught, elective subjects are introduced at Years 9 & 10.

A wide range of options is available in Years 11 & 12 as part of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), and these include Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses. VCE subjects available vary according to student needs and are delivered both by our staff and (in selected situations) the Victorian Distance Education Centre.

Our computer facilities are widely used by students, as is the Materials and Food Technology Centre, which provides yet another area for students to develop skills.
