A Celebration of Culture

Newsletter | Secondary Update

I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to all who made our recent Multicultural Day such a resounding success. It was truly a joyous occasion, witnessing the beautiful embrace of various cultures, whether they were our own or different from our own.

The highlight of the day, for many of us, was undoubtedly the incredible array of delicious foods we had the pleasure of experiencing. The culinary journey we embarked upon was simply delightful! It showcased the richness and diversity of our community, bringing us closer together through shared flavors and traditions.

Our guest incursion instructors provided us with excellent feedback, praising the overall engagement and rhythmic prowess displayed by our students during the African Drumming sessions. It was a fantastic sight to behold as our students created captivating rhythms, embracing the spirit of African culture. I am particularly delighted to share that Manga Artist Kenny Chan was thoroughly impressed with the attentiveness and responsiveness of our students. Well done to the teachers and students who participated in that incursion!

Last but not least, I would like to express our gratitude to all those who showed their support for the VCE VET Band during their lunchtime performance. Your presence and encouragement meant the world to them, reinforcing the importance of school community spirit and unity.

Once again, thank you all for your unwavering support and contributions. It is through events like these that we celebrate the vibrant tapestry of cultures that make up our school, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding. Together, we create an inclusive environment where diversity is not only acknowledged but treasured.
