A Farewell and a Celebration of Growth

Newsletter | Secondary Update

As the year draws to a close, I find myself writing my final newsletter report as Head of Secondary. Serving in this role has been an extraordinary privilege, and I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement I have received from students, families, and staff alike. Together, we have built a vibrant and flourishing secondary community.

As I prepare to hand over the reins, I am confident in the capable leadership of Mr. Barry Ibrahim, the incoming Head of Secondary, and his talented team. Barry’s commitment to fostering student growth and his heart for our school community will no doubt see Secondary continue to thrive in the years ahead.

Looking back, I marvel at how the Secondary School has grown and developed over my time here. When I began, we were a close-knit group of 250 students; now, our numbers have more than doubled, surpassing 500. It’s humbling to reflect on how God’s hand has been present in every step of this journey. His provision has guided us through times of change and growth, and I give thanks for His faithfulness.

I am also filled with excitement for the progress of the Online Campus, which will launch next year. This initiative will provide even more families the opportunity to join our community, offering flexibility while maintaining our commitment to excellence in education. It’s thrilling to see how this project is coming together, and I look forward to seeing the impact it will have on our College.

Finally, as we approach the end of the school year, I want to remind you of our Secondary Celebration and Awards Night next Monday, December 9, at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. This is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the year that has been and to celebrate the achievements of our students. I encourage you to join us for this special evening.

To all in our community, I wish you a safe and restful Christmas break. May you find time to connect with loved ones, reflect on God’s blessings, and recharge for the year ahead. Thank you once again for the privilege of serving as your Head of Secondary.
