A Foundation for Thriving

Newsletter | Toolern Vale Update

At our school, we know and understand that students grow best when families and educators work together. When home and school are connected, children feel better supported, understood, and confident. Education is a shared responsibility, and your involvement – big or small – makes a meaningful difference to your child’s learning.

Our staff take great care to stop, listen, and get to know our families. Understanding your child’s experiences at home helps us support them more effectively at school. These everyday conversations build trust, strengthen relationships, and remind us that we’re all on the same team.

We deeply value the trust you place in us. You can expect our staff to be open, caring, and committed to your child’s success. We celebrate their achievements with you, and we’re here to help when challenges arise. Together, we can create a strong foundation for every child to thrive.

So, how can you support and partner with us?

Stay connected – Make sure to read school emails and updates, and feel free to reach out anytime you have questions. We value regular communication and appreciate you letting us know if there’s anything we should be aware of.

Share with us what you notice at home – Your insights about your child’s strengths, worries, or new interests help us understand them more fully.

Support simple routines – Regular reading, good sleep, and a positive start to the day make a big difference.

Join conversations about learning – Parent – Teacher conversations and informal chats at the end of the school day help us set shared goals and celebrate progress.

We believe and acknowledge parents and caregivers as the primary authority and carers of their children – and we are grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside you and support your child/children during this season of learning.
