A Supported Start
Welcome back to 2026, and Happy New Year to you all. Within Secondary, staff have been working hard to prepare for a smooth and successful start to the year, and we appreciate the support you have provided in helping prepare for the year ahead. The partnership of parents and carers always plays a significant part in experiencing a successful school year.
The start of the year provides valuable opportunities for us to reflect on and strengthen the learning from last year. As Secondary staff and teachers, we will continue to do this by setting clear expectations to support student success. One way this will occur is through the Year 7 Camp planned for Week 2. For many students, especially those new to the College, this can be a nervous time, but it offers wonderful opportunities to build stronger connections and lasting friendships. We always enjoy hearing stories of students who have made new friends and return feeling more confident and ready for learning.
Similarly, our Senior Student Leadership Team is ready to begin the year and play an active role in encouraging a positive and supportive learning environment. They are great examples of our five Core Values—Respect, Community, Christ-centredness, Excellence, and a Passion for Teaching and Learning—and will play an important role in coming alongside their peers across the College.
We look forward to working alongside you, and we encourage you to reach out to teachers, staff, and leaders if you have any questions. Our hope is for the success of every student, and we will continue to work hard in our teaching and learning while maintaining helpful and consistent expectations across the College.
