A Time to reflect

Newsletter | Toolern Vale Update

What a whirlwind few weeks it’s been! From sports events and Prep transition sessions to fire awareness activities, celebration evening, and award ceremonies – we’ve wrapped up 2025 with so many wonderful moments and memories.

As we head into these final days, there’s a real buzz of joy and excitement in the air. It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness, but our team is being intentional about making each day count – keeping learning on track in calm, settled classrooms while embracing the fun and anticipation that Christmas brings.

In the coming days, we’ll be celebrating students who have achieved awards this year. While some will be recognised formally, we want to acknowledge that every single student has grown in amazing ways. Growth looks different for each child, but we’ve seen it everywhere – in conversations, in classrooms, and in the playground.

  • Some students started the year feeling timid and unsure, and now walk through the gates with confidence and resilience
  • Others have worked hard to build friendships and are now engaging and playing with joy
  • Students who once avoided eye contact now greet staff with a smile and a cheerful “good morning.”
  • Children who found it hard to sit still are now calm, focused, and contributing beautifully in class

As we move into the summer break and celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas, our hope for our community is that we can take time to pause to reflect on how far we’ve come and look forward to new opportunities for growth and learning in the year ahead.

Thank you for being part of this journey with us – we couldn’t do it without you. Wishing you a joyful Christmas and a rest-filled, peaceful break with your loved ones. We look forward to welcoming you back in 2026 for another exciting year of learning and community together.
