A Valued Contribution

Newsletter | Toolern Vale Update

Over the term break, I had the opportunity to watch Cirque du Soleil. It was breathtaking- amazing, heart-stopping and completely captivating. As I watched performers soar through the air, balancing, catching and supporting one another, I was struck by something deeper than the incredible skill on display.

Every performer depended on someone else.

Behind every daring leap was a team member ready to catch them. Behind every seamless performance was a group of people working together, trusting one another, protecting one another and playing their part. The show only worked because each person understood that they were part of something bigger than themselves.

It reminded me of our school community.

At Melton Christian College, we are at our best when we work in partnership. Students, parents and staff all have an important role to play, and each contribution matters. Just as a Cirque du Soleil performance relies on every person doing their part, our community flourishes when we support, encourage and care for one another.

No one can do it alone. Our students thrive when they experience a consistent message of care, encouragement and high expectations both at school and at home. They flourish when they see the adults in their lives working together, united in our desire to help them grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

As we move through the school year, may we continue to value the role each person plays in our community. Whether you are helping with homework, volunteering at an event, encouraging a student through a challenging season, or supporting the daily life of the College, your contribution makes a difference.

Thank you for partnering with us. Together, we create a community where every child is known, supported and encouraged to become all that God has created them to be.
