Adventures at Emu Gully

Newsletter | Secondary Update

As you read this, our Year 11 students are embarking on an exceptional adventure at the Emu Gully campsite in Queensland. This week-long camp, centered around the ANZAC spirit, promises to be an experience our students will remember for a lifetime.

At Emu Gully, our students will be immersed in activities designed to challenge and push their limits, enabling them to encounter the four pillars of the ANZACS: Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice. Having personally attended this camp on multiple occasions, I can assure you that the lessons in teamwork and leadership through these pillars are unparalleled in any other local or interstate program. The Emu Gully campsite provides a unique environment where students can grow and develop their character. Through a series of carefully planned activities, students will face physical and mental challenges, fostering resilience, camaraderie, and personal growth.

Upon their return, you will notice a distinct change in our students. They will display a renewed sense of gratitude for what they have, focus for their future goals, and care for their peers. The experiences gained at Emu Gully Camp are legendary and are spoken about fondly for years to come. The transformative nature of this camp is truly remarkable.

Let’s continue to pray for the safety of our Year 11 students, Mr. Ibrahim, and the dedicated staff team accompanying them on this journey. Together, we hope for a successful camp that leaves a lasting positive impact on our students’ lives. We eagerly await their return, for we know they will bring back stories of resilience, newfound friendships, and personal growth. The Emu Gully camp is just one of the many ways we strive to provide our students with a holistic Christian education that extends beyond the boundaries of the classroom.

Thank you for your continued support in fostering a nurturing environment for our students to thrive in.
