Changes to Secondary School Sports

In light of our growth and our students desires to excel in their sporting endeavours, we as a College have decided that transitioning to SSV (School Sports Victoria) would allow students to pursue their goals, and where they will learn, grow and strengthen their God given skills and abilities.

Within SSV, students will be offered a wide range of sports that they would like to participate in. In this new structure, students will attend a tryout session, and if they are successful, they make it onto the team. If selected students win the Division round, they move up to Regional, and if they win Regional, they move up to State. We understand that this change may create some questions, but we will endeavour to continually clarify throughout this journey via our College’s communications platforms.

Moving forward, all parent letters will be sent via email. In this email, there will be Microsoft e-form link for you to complete as approval for your child to attend the sporting event they were chosen for. Students will receive a copy of the letter, so they are also aware of any upcoming events. Any other further details and possible additional costs (regional/state level) will be included in the details of the parent letters.

CSEF Applications 2023

The Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) is a Victorian government-funded program that provides payments for eligible students to attend activities like school camps, swimming and school-organised sport programs, outdoor education programs, as well as excursions and incursions.

Families holding a valid means-tested concession card or temporary foster parents are eligible to apply. A special consideration category also exists. Families can list more than one student in the one application form if they are attending the same school. For further information on eligibility, list of concession cards accepted and more, please visit the Department of Education website. Also, click here for the application form.

Please note: Any parents who received this fund last year do not need to complete an application form unless they have a new prep commencing in 2023.
