OSHC School Hours
We can now offer our families OSHC on Student Free Days.
Beginning at the end of this Term on Wednesday March 27 and 28, Camp Australia will have OSHC at Brookfield Campus. Parents from both Brookfield and Toolern Vale are able to register online or via the Camp Australia Parent Portal. Please click here to see a flyer with more information.

Prayer Group Meeting
When: Tuesday mornings from 8.45 am to 9.15 am – arrive at reception.
Where: Brookfield Campus – first Tuesday of each month, Toolern Vale Campus – third Tuesday of each month
This is an opportunity to come together in faith and pray for our MCC Community.

Genesis Musical School
The Genesis Musical School offers music lessons on campus. The Genesis Musical School is also onsite on Wednesdays at our Toolern Vale Campus. Please find attached an updated schedule of music lessons by clicking here.

The experienced dental team will be onsite at Brookfield campus April 16 – April 26 and our Toolern Vale Campus April 29 – April 30 providing our staff and students with a wide range of dental services, including check-ups, cleanings, and any necessary treatments. It is an easy and straightforward process that ensures that the dentist can quickly and conveniently offer students the highest quality of care onsite. As a registered charity, check-ups for all students and College staff who wish to take part, are free of charge. The visiting dentist will operate from the Megatron (Dental Van) in the Kiss and Go Zone in front of the College.

Year 10 Art & VCE Art Making & Exhibiting ‘NGV International’ – Triennial Excursion
On Thursday the 21st of March (Week 8), the year 10 Art & VCE Art students will be attending the Educational Program at NGV International (Melbourne CBD). This is a special time where students gain insight into the lives of artists and their artworks. They are guided within the exhibition to explore and document their findings on key artworks as part of their SAC & SAT preparation. Students are required to wear full summer uniforms and blazers. Students will meet at the front office area of the school at 8.30 am sharp and will depart at the end of the day at 3.20 pm.

Sarina Russo Apprenticeships
On the 19th of March, a representative from the Sarino Russo Apprenticeships group will do a presentation for our year 12 students. Sarino Russo Apprenticeships provides a range of services to support apprentices, trainees and employers. They offer guidance and support throughout the apprenticeship or traineeship. They help with accessing wage subsidies and other financial incentives. They provide ongoing mentoring and workplace support to ensure retention and success. This presentation will be very insightful to our students who want to continue on with an apprenticeship in 2025.

Uniform Shop Hours
Wednesday 27th March – last day open for Term 1.
The MCC Uniform Shop will be closed during School Holidays and reopen on Wednesday 17 April for our regular hours.
Regular Hours: Wed, Thurs & Fri
8:45 – 11am & 2 – 4pm.

Extreme Weather Events
At times when students are scheduled to be outside and the temperature is 37°C or more, active outside activities will be cancelled including play in open outdoor spaces such as the oval and the uncovered basketball courts. Students will go outside for the normal recess and lunch times but will be encouraged to remain under the many shaded areas that exist at school and/or some indoor rooms that will be opened. Depending on the day and other weather factors, College leaders might decide to implement an extreme weather process as required. Hand Brake Turn Program
Hand Brake Turn is a six-week program for young people in the Melton area. It kicks off 14th March for six-weeks running until 18th April. Hands-on automotive care workshops to support young people’s automotive knowledge covering basic car maintenance skills, car safety, oil and tyre change. Duration 90-minutes Thursday weekly sessions from 4pm – 5:30pm. The program is for young people aged 14-24 years old with an interest in cars or learning new skills. Maximum capacity of 15 young people.

My School Dentist 2024
The largest program of its kind, My School Dentist is an onsite dental program that supports convenient access to oral health care and education to students at primary and secondary schools, (students up to 17 years of age).
