Beginnings and Endings: A Week of Milestones at MCC
This week at Melton Christian College, we reflect on the bittersweet nature of endings and the hopeful anticipation of new beginnings. As our Year 12 students completed their final VCE exam, we celebrated the culmination of their hard work, determination, and the pursuit of excellence—a Core Value that defines our College. These students have shown resilience and dedication throughout their academic journey, and we are confident that their future endeavours will reflect the strong foundation they’ve built here.
While one chapter closes, another begins. On Friday, we welcome our 2025 VCE students into their new season of learning with the Aspire Retreat. This event is designed to inspire our students, equipping them with vision and purpose as they embark on the challenging yet rewarding VCE years. It is a reminder that striving for excellence is not merely about results but about the commitment to grow, persevere, and reach for our God-given potential.
Next week, the QuickStart program begins, offering our 2025 VCE students an exciting opportunity to dive into their first classes for the year ahead. This early engagement allows them to establish strong habits and set a tone of intentionality for their final years of schooling. By starting their learning journey now, they can build confidence and focus as they step into this next phase.
At Melton Christian College, excellence is about striving to honour God with our efforts, both individually and as a community. Whether it’s celebrating the achievements of our graduating Year 12 cohort or encouraging our new VCE students to embrace the opportunities ahead, we are reminded of the words from Colossians 3:23: “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.”
Let us continue to pray for our Year 12 students as they step into their next season of life and for our 2025 VCE students as they begin theirs. May they be filled with courage and determination as they pursue excellence in all they do.
