Camp and Community
I’d like to share the fantastic experiences our Year 7 students had during their recent camp adventure! It was great to have our newest secondary students kick off the year with such an immersive and bonding experience.
As the students explored various activities like the giant swing, canoeing, and more, we witnessed the formation of lasting friendships. The thrill of conquering challenges together not only brought joy but also fostered a sense of camaraderie among the group.
Our young learners enjoyed plenty of great camp food, making mealtimes an opportunity for students to connect and share their camp highlights. These shared moments around the dining table added an extra layer of warmth to the entire experience.
Beyond the excitement of outdoor activities and delicious meals, the camp served as a valuable platform for our students to delve into the heart of our College’s identity. Through engaging sessions, they began to understand who we are as a community and the expectations that come with being a part of our College.
Moreover, this immersive experience played a pivotal role in introducing our five core values – Christ-centredness, Excellence, Community, Respect, and Passion for Teaching & Learning. As our students navigate these values in their daily interactions, they are not just learning about them but actively incorporating them into their lives.
The Year 7 camp has set the stage for a year of growth, camaraderie, and a deep understanding of what it means to be a part of our College community. We look forward to witnessing the continued development of these young minds.
