Celebrating Community and Honouring Mr. Gleeson’s Milestone

Newsletter | Secondary Update

Last Friday was a truly special day at Melton Christian College as we gathered to celebrate a significant milestone: our Principal, Mr. Gleeson, turned 60. To mark this occasion, the secondary school enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch, embodying our core value of Community.

The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and joy as students and staff came together to honour Mr. Gleeson. It was heartwarming to witness the genuine expressions of appreciation and respect directed towards him. Many students took the opportunity to thank Mr. Gleeson personally, reflecting the high regard in which he is held by the entire school community.

This celebration was more than just a birthday party; it was a testament to the strong, respectful relationships that underpin our school culture. The way our students conducted themselves—showing gratitude and respect—was impressive and indicative of the excellent manners and values we cultivate at Melton Christian College.

Seeing our core value of Community so vibrantly displayed reminded me of the strength of our school’s spirit. It’s moments like these that highlight the supportive and respectful environment we strive to foster every day. As we continue through the school year, I encourage everyone to carry forward the sense of community and mutual respect demonstrated during Mr. Gleeson’s celebration. Let’s keep building on this foundation, supporting one another, and upholding the values that make our school exceptional.

Once again, Happy 60th Birthday, Mr. Gleeson! Thank you for your leadership and for fostering such a positive, respectful school culture. Here’s to many more years of community and shared success at Melton Christian College.
