Creating Community Through Our End-of-Year Events

Newsletter | Online Campus Update

As we approach the end of the school year, I am reminded that community is not accidental – it is something we choose to build, invest in, and nurture together. At Melton Christian College’s Online Campus, our Core Value of Community shapes everything we do. Even though our students connect from home, the sense of belonging that has grown this year has been remarkable. Our families, students, and staff have shown that meaningful relationships can flourish powerfully in an online environment.

Over the next few weeks, several key events will continue to strengthen that sense of connection as we look ahead to 2026.

Our Secondary Awards and Celebration Night will take place at the Brookfield campus and is an opportunity to honour outstanding student character, effort, and excellence. Families who wish to join online will be able to do so, ensuring our Online Campus community can be part of this special evening from wherever they are.

For our current Online Campus families, we will be hosting an End-of-Year Catch-Up Dinner in the Performing Arts Centre. This gathering is a chance to reconnect, celebrate the year we’ve shared, and spend time with the teachers who have supported your children so faithfully.

We are also delighted to welcome our new families joining us in 2026. To help them feel at home from the beginning, we will hold a Welcome Dinner at the College. This will be a relaxed opportunity to meet staff, connect with other families, and begin forming the relationships that support a strong start to the year.

Finally, our Online Campus Orientation Day will help both current and new students prepare for 2026. This online event will introduce them to next year’s classes, teachers, and routines.

Each of these events reflects our deep commitment to building a warm, connected, Christ-centred community – one in which every student is known, valued, and supported.
