Cultivating Community

Newsletter | Secondary Update

At Melton Christian College, our Secondary team values working in partnership with parents to support the students we teach. I see this daily in the respectful and professional relationships within our college community, among staff, students and parents. It also reflects our Christian faith, where we are encouraged to show kindness and compassion to one another, following the example of Jesus. These qualities are important in strengthening any community, including ours.

Many of you would have experienced this during the parent teacher interviews late last term, working alongside teachers and engaging in meaningful, individualised conversations focused on helping students succeed in Term 2. We value this respectful collaboration.

This term includes camps, sporting carnivals and exams, making it especially important that we continue to work closely together. As I write this, our Year 10 students are on their two-night camp at Mill Valley Ranch, in Tynong North, where they will have opportunities for meaningful discussions, fun activities, and team building moments.

Whether it involves teaching and learning, events, or other student related needs, I encourage you to stay in contact with subject teachers, Christian Life Group teachers, and school leaders. We are all part of the same community, each contributing to support meaningful learning.
