Encouraging Positive Wellbeing
Recently, our Senior Student Leadership Team organised a range of indoor and outdoor activities for Mental Health Day. Students were given the opportunity to take part in both quiet and physical activities during their breaks.
Our College Captains also shared a short message on how to look after ourselves, which was heard and discussed across the different Christian Life Groups in Secondary School. The day was a great success.
Caring for ourselves and one another is an important Christian teaching found in the Bible, where we are asked to “carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Life, as God designed it, is meant to be lived in strong and supportive communities, where each person is a valued member.
At Melton Christian College, we are privileged to be part of a community that values each individual and seeks to encourage personal growth and success.
Our Mental Health Day has become an annual event, continuing to leave a legacy of positive wellbeing and community connection.
In recognition of this initiative, one of our 2024 College Captains, Sarah McPartland, was invited to speak at the inaugural Brain Health Friendship Group at the Victorian Parliament this year. We are proud of the hard work and commitment of all our students.
As we entered the final term of the school year, we have also had the opportunity to join our Year 12 students for their celebrations on campus. We wish them every success as they begin their exams.
Thank you once again for your continued partnership and ongoing support of our College values.
