Healthy Habits for Online Learning
We are so pleased to welcome all of our families back to the Online Campus for another wonderful school year. We hope you’ve enjoyed a restful break and that your children are feeling refreshed, settled, and ready for the exciting learning ahead. A new year always brings a sense of possibility, and we’re looking forward to supporting every student as they find their rhythm, reconnect with classmates, and build confidence in their learning routines.
To help students start the year positively, we’re focusing on four key expectations that really make a difference in online learning. These habits help students stay connected, organised, and engaged — and they set them up for success throughout the year.
Firstly, we ask that students keep their camera on in all live lessons. Seeing one another helps build stronger relationships, encourages participation, and allows teachers to better support each child’s understanding and wellbeing.
We also encourage students to wear their school uniform proudly, even while learning from home. This small step creates a sense of belonging and helps students switch into “learning mode,” which can make a big difference to focus and motivation.
Another important part of our online community is using the chat function respectfully and appropriately. Keeping the chat space focused on learning helps create a positive, supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable to contribute.
Lastly, we ask students to stay on top of their self‑paced lessons. Completing these tasks on time helps them feel prepared and confident heading into live classes, and it keeps the learning flow smooth and manageable.
We sincerely appreciate the support you provide at home in helping your child build and maintain these habits. Your encouragement makes a huge difference, and together we can help every student start the year feeling organised, confident, and ready to do their best.
We’re excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to share the many great things coming up across the Online Campus. Here’s to a fantastic start to 2026!
