New Beginnings
As we step into our new school year, I want to extend a warm welcome to every member of our community. Summer break looks different for all of us – some return refreshed and recharged, others have continued working right through, and some families have navigated significant challenges or changes over the holidays. Whatever your break looked like, we’re grateful to begin this new chapter together.
A new year always brings with it a sense of anticipation – new learning, new opportunities, new friendships, and new memories waiting to be made. This year, we are especially delighted to welcome our new families into our community. We hope you already feel the warmth and connectedness that make Melton Christian College such a special place. As you settle in, our Core Values – Respect, Community, Passion for Teaching and Learning, Excellence, and Christ-Centredness – will guide every aspect of school life. These values shape who we are and how we care for one another each day.
One of the things we treasure most about our school is that it is a safe, nurturing space where children can learn, grow, and be known. Our staff are committed to fostering an environment where every child feels supported to flourish academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
We’re delighted to share that the newly upgraded yard at Toolern Vale is now ready for students to enjoy. The expanded play space – complete with brand-new soccer goals – is already bringing excitement and energy to the school grounds. We look forward to seeing this area foster even more opportunities for active play, teamwork, and connection among our students. Watching the children run, explore, and engage in this new environment is a wonderful reminder that learning and growth happen not only inside our classrooms but also in the rich, vibrant outdoor spaces around us.
As we begin the year ahead, may we continue to work together in partnership, supporting every child to be their best and celebrating the unique gifts they bring to our community. I am looking forward to connecting and reconnecting with you all. Thank you for being part of our journey.
