Primary News & Key Dates
Welcome to our second last primary newsletter article for 2022. It’s such a strange time of the year; a time of celebration, where we can look back at what has been achieved this year, and a time of excitement where the children start to look forward to what school might look like for them in 2023. New classmates. New teachers. New classroom. Trust our teachers. They do a mighty fine job creating class lists for the following year and it is an amazingly difficult task combining 26 children all with individual personalities. It is not easy, and they prayerfully consider each and every decision – always asking themselves, where this particular child will learn best next year?
Some children also become a bit anxious about change. It is our job, as adults, to ensure we are the calm in their world. We must not let any anxiety we feel flow into our children. We must not let our worry become their worry. Let’s show our children excitement, joy, calm and peace. Let’s show them that change is okay – even if it is an unexpected change.
How you react to 2023 changes will greatly impact your child. They watch and learn from all of us grown-ups. Encourage them to look forward to next year. Build resilience because one day, your little ones will become adults and join the workforce – they will need resilience and it comes from you. What does the Bible say?
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Let’s give it a try!
