Primary Swimming Carnival
It was a hot and sunny day at Melton Waves last Thursday, February 16th when we held our annual MCC Primary Swimming Carnival. All the children competed magnificently in the warm weather.
We held 50 metre races in the traditional strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly as well as the 4x50m Freestyle Relay.
In the smaller pool, there was a variety of novelty events that all children could participate in, no matter their swimming ability. We had the 15 metre freestyle, noodle race, water running race and the old favourite: the cork scramble.
Once the main events were done, it was time for a cool off and the much-loved FREE SWIM! It was fantastic to see the pool full of so many happy and enthusiastic faces.
At the end of the day CALEB house came out the winners for the fifth time over the last six years! Well done to all everyone involved!
Final results:
Caleb 443
Joshua 340
Daniel 310
Gideon 300
A big thanks to all our staff and our secondary helpers who helped to make the day such a success.
