As the year comes to a close, there are three groups I would like to acknowledge and thank.

Firstly, our students who have worked hard all year, refamiliarizing themselves with onsite learning and what it is like to be a student at MCC. They have been able to overcome any transitioning issues that may have resulted from two years of lockdown to settle back into the onsite learning routine. They have all worked very hard to do their best this year. Well done, students!

The second group I would like to thank are the staff and teachers, who have worked very hard caring for all our students and their various levels of educational and wellbeing needs. They have worked hard to create safe learning environments and safe daily routines, which have seen our students flourish. They have supported each other through sickness, to become a united team with the focus to be that learning community under Christ and to excel in care, nurture, welcoming and belonging. Well done, staff!

And the last group I would like to thank are you, our parents and families, who have also worked tirelessly to partner with us so we can support our students to reach their potential. Thank you for connecting with us, whether it’s in person, on the phone and/or via email. Communication produces strong partnerships and so thank you for your continued communication and support to produce these partnerships. Well done, parents!

Our Secondary Celebration and Awards night will take place on student’s last day, Wednesday December 07 at 7:00pm in the College’s auditorium. We will recommence next year on Wednesday February 2023.

I pray you all have a safe break and a blessed Christmas.
