Spotlight on Staff

Newsletter | Community

I am so excited to be a part of this welcoming and friendly Melton Christian College Community. It is such an honour to be a teacher and a parent at this school.

I am a UK trained secondary school teacher and was born and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa. I have worked in various public and private schools in different countries and bring a lot of passion and zeal to see children walking in their God-given purposes and destinies. I joined the school in January this year as the Pathways Coordinator and I’m enjoying having conversations with students and their parents about career pathways.

I am a Deacon at Forward in Faith Ministries International and predominantly work in the children and women’s ministries. When I am not busy teaching, I love writing and have recently published a book “Godly Parenting Solutions – a guide to raising children God’s way”.

Every day that I’ve been at Melton Christian College, I’ve been encouraged, supported, and reminded of my calling through devotions and the interactions with staff and students. I’m looking forward to everything God has in store for myself and my family at this College.”

My name is Stephanie Taylor, and I joined the MCC community in Term 4 2021. I began as a casual relief teacher and this year I get to wear many hats. Currently I am a Prep homeroom teacher for one day a week, a Year 5 and 6 Performing Arts teacher and a Year 3 HASS/Science teacher. One of the things I love about the MCC family is the staff and students are warm and welcoming.

My journey into becoming a teacher started a while ago when I finished my bachelor’s in Creative Arts from Deakin University. Straight out of my degree I got married and became a dance teacher, teaching in schools. My love for teaching students grew and I enrolled in a master’s degree, Teaching Primary at Curtin University. Halfway through this degree my husband and I started our family. We are blessed with a 2-year-old boy, who will be 3 in September.

We moved to Melton 7 years ago and over the past couple of years, my husband and I have found work close to home. We also attend Enjoy Church, and we are excited to be living in, working in and ministering to the community of Melton.
