Striving for Excellence
As we embark on the exciting journey of a new school year, I extend a warm welcome to our dedicated staff and enthusiastic students. I am filled with anticipation for the wonderful opportunities and blessings that God has in store for each and every one of us, as stated in Jeremiah 29:11, He promises plans to prosper us and not to harm us.
I would like to delve into a couple of important topics that resonate with our school’s values and achievements.
Firstly, let’s reflect on our Core Value of Excellence. At Melton Christian College, we believe that excellence is not merely an abstract concept but rather a commitment to doing one’s personal best. It’s crucial to understand that excellence is subjective and individualised—it’s about surpassing your own potential rather than comparing yourself to others.
We encourage every child, learner, teacher, and parent to strive for excellence in their respective roles within our school community. When each member contributes their best effort, it creates an environment where our students can thrive and reach their fullest potential.
Speaking of doing our best, I am delighted to acknowledge a remarkable student who exemplified this principle throughout the previous academic year. This student consistently demonstrated diligence and commitment across all subjects, while also excelling in student leadership.
It is with great pleasure that I announce Ryan Halim as the recipient of the highest ATAR result last year. Ryan’s exceptional dedication to his studies and leadership role has seen him achieve an excellent 98.25 ATAR result. Congratulations, Ryan, on this well-deserved achievement. Your hard work and commitment have not gone unnoticed, and we celebrate your success as a testament to the spirit of excellence within our school.
As we embrace the new school year, let us all be inspired by Ryan’s example and continue to pursue excellence in every aspect of our academic and personal endeavors. Together, as a united Melton Christian College community, we look forward to a year filled with growth, achievements, and shared success.
