Winnie the Pooh Kids is Coming!

Our Years 3 to 6 Primary School students are excitedly preparing for our 2026 musical production, Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids.

While Winnie the Pooh may seem like a simple story about a bear who loves honey and his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood, it is also full of beautiful lessons about friendship, kindness, courage, perseverance, and belonging.

Throughout the story, we see a group of very different characters learning to support one another. Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo each have their own strengths, weaknesses, personalities, and quirks. Yet despite their differences, they care for one another and work together through challenges. In many ways, this reflects our Core Value of Community. God created us to live in relationship with one another, valuing differences and recognising that everyone is important.

As a school, this is exactly what we hope to nurture in our students. We want our children to be kind companions, thoughtful friends, encouraging peers, and young people who include others. We want them to understand that every person is valuable and has been created uniquely by God.

For our performers in Years 3 to 6, the musical journey itself provides opportunities to practice these lessons. Students are learning to work together, persevere through challenges, support one another, and give their best as part of a team. These are skills that extend far beyond the stage and help shape the character we hope to see in every child. For our Prep to Year 2 students, watching the performance is also valuable. They see older students demonstrating courage, commitment, teamwork and creativity, and they are given positive role models to look up to. Through the story, they will be encouraged to think about what it means to be a good friend, to show kindness to others, and to value the unique gifts God has given each person.

We look forward to sharing this special production with our community later this term and celebrating all of our students who have been a part of bringing this story to life.

As Winnie the Pooh reminds us, “A day without a friend is like a pot without a single drop of honey left inside.”

We are grateful that our students are learning the value of friendship, kindness, courage, and community. These are qualities that reflect God’s love and help make our school a place where everyone belongs.
