Year 7 Camp

Newsletter | Teaching and Learning

Our Year 7 students have returned from an unforgettable adventure at Camp, where three days of challenge, teamwork, and personal growth set the tone for an exciting year ahead. From the moment they arrived, students embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and courage. They soared on the giant swing, navigated their way through the bush on orienteering courses, paddled together across the lake during canoeing, and challenged themselves on high elements such as abseiling and climbing the ‘centipede’, a sequence of suspended obstacles that tested both their balance and bravery.

Throughout camp, our students showed determination and a willingness to step outside their comfort zones. They planned and problem-solved, communicated clearly, took initiative, and supported one another as part of a team. Perhaps most importantly, they strengthened connections across the cohort, forming new friendships, sharing experiences, and discovering what it means to belong to our College community. Their time at Camp has set a strong foundation for the year ahead, building confidence, connection, and a shared commitment to our Core Values.

Welcome to Secondary School, Year 7s. What a wonderful beginning!
