Year 8 Kryal Castle Excursion

Newsletter | Teaching and Learning

The Year 8’s went on an excursion to Kryal Castle, and it was a fun yet educational experience for all of us. It gave us the opportunity to step back in time and participate in exciting activities, which were not only fun but instructional. The sword fighting, archery, manorial court, medieval dance, and overall medieval experience provided us great entertainment and also helped us all better understand how things could have been in the Middle Ages. The manorial court helped us understand how unfair it was for an accused peasant (serf) and how much your social standing impacted on how you were treated. This tied in with the Australian Curriculum well. Overall, we had a great time.
